FC Barcelona Femení forward Asisat Oshoala has been derided on social media for her performances at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, Concise News reports.
Although Oshoala was named Player Of The Match in the Super Falcons second group game against the Korea Republic, having netted an impressive goal, she has been below her best in the tournament so far.
And it showed further in the Falcons’ all-important clash with hosts France in Rennes on Monday as the former Arsenal and Liverpool attacker repeatedly lost possession.
Thus, the Nigerian football fans pounced on the three-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year.
See some reactions on Twitter below:
This whole VAR shit aside, this oshoala lady should work on her self and stop letting the sugar from the Amstel malt affect her waist.

I heard oshoala and fashola are the same people because they are both failing this country

Nigeria could have won the game easily if only they had a clinical striker and a midfielder that can create chances… Relying on oshoala upfront is a total waste of time and the work load becoming too much for ordega.

Someone Said Asisat Oshoala Is The Female Version Of Romelu Lukaku… 🙆🙆🙆🙆
😂😂😂— Ayodeji (@YungPablo_Jr)
Forget about that good goal in the second match, Oshoala has been quite disappointing in this world cup so far. She loses possession very easily

I don’t like Asisat Oshoala’s attitude when she losses the ball!
Madam, make effort to keep possession and track back when you lose the ball!
Don’t be playing like a low budget Pogba…

Asisat oshoala was totally useless tonight

To be honest!!!! Asisat Oshoala has been below Average in this Tournament so far!!!!

1. Qualify or not, the coach needs to go! He has not improved the team.
2. Asisat Oshoala has been poor all competition.
3. Nnadozie should be our No.1 going forward.
4. We should consider 4-5-1 or 4-4-2; we have no business playing 4-3-3 with poor midfielders.— Akins (@oakhouse78)
How many times has Asisat Oshoala lost the ball in this game?!! 😉
— MikeThePundit (@MikeThePundit)
Asisat Oshoala has to be firm, she is a Barca player with huge experience! Chioma & Ebere need to feed Ordega with more balls! A sold out match with such poor possession sad! Chikwelu neither here nor there. A Draw will be a huge relief
