The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup after beating Ecuador 3-2 in their second match, Tuesday.
Ibrahim Sa’id put the Nigerians ahead just five minutes into the game following an error from the Ecuadorian defence.
However, the South Americans fought back five minutes later to level the score and took the lead upon return to the second half.
Nigeria rallied to get back into the game but did not make headway until Sa’id rose to the occasion, scoring in the 84th and 89th minutes.
