The Founder of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election, Concise News understands.
Gates, this online news medium reports, issued the congratulatory message to Buhari on Tuesday in a phone call.
He also pledged his commitment to work with the Buhari government in fighting diseases and developing the West African nations.
According to him, he was happy to be associated with the Buhari government and expressed joy over the conduct of the election.
On his part, Buhari lauded Gates for his consistent and generous support to public causes around the globe, and specifically for supporting the eradication of polio and HIV diseases in Africa and Nigeria in particular.
The Nigerian leader noted that Gates’ wealth has benefited Nigeria’s development, and expressed appreciation for the call.
“I am very happy the way your projects have touched the life of the average Nigerian. The people of this country have given their verdict,” Buhari said.
“This verdict says we have to work hard to meet their expectations. God willing, we will not fail.”
